Now, I practice being still and I notice that when I am still, there is nothing that I am attempting to fix or influence. Instead, I am free to observe things i.e., that I am full; that my dog is lying on the carpet nearby, to be with me; that my husband and son are talking calmly as they play a game on an iPhone upstairs .
There is value in observing what we are experiencing and in taking time to notice how we are feeling about it.
There is also value in noticing what we want and do not have and our feelings about that, as well.
